effepi Engineering is a young but very dynamic reality, involved in consultancy activities regarding centrifugal pump design and analysis.

Our expertise fields cover many aspects of centrifugal pump design and exercise, from the first concept based on customer needs to the machine commisioning. Centrifugal pump design from scratch is carried out, starting from user requested performances, through computational fluid dynamics and finite element mechanical analysis. This kind of approach guarantees robust design of hydraulics and mechanical components.

For those who need robust design coupled with very fast project deadlines, we propose special design paths that, starting from an existing product, leads to new pump design suitable to close gaps inside the pump coverage. Revamping of old pump design is also possible, improving performance and reliability. In addition, centrifugal pump design can be carried out according to the most common design standards (API for example) as per user requests.

Simulation also helps customers to extend pump (and plant) operating life. Both fluid dynamics and mechanical analysis techniques allows to improve, or even maximize, MTTF and MTBF of an existing centrifugal pump, chosing the best conditions to operate the machine inside the plant where is installed.

Troubleshooting pump problems and malfunctioning is always hard task to perform but, at effepi engineering, with simulation aid it is possible to find the root cause of a pump running bad or even of a pump failure.
